Directions to First United Methodist Church, Commerce

From Athens:

Take Hwy 441N to Commerce.  Make a left turn onto Bus Hwy 441/Bus GA15 at traffic light (Ingle's will be on left).  Continue on this street, cross over railroad tracks at beginning of one-way street and you will be on Elm Street.  You will pass the library and Atlanta Mission Union Thrift Store.  The Methodist Church and office are next to the Thrift Store but not on Elm Street.  Cherry Street veers to the right off Elm Street.

From I-85 North:

Take Hwy 98E (exit 147). Follow Hwy 98E to Commerce. Pass the Police/Fire Station Complex and cross the railroad tracks at the next crossover.  (The Methodist Church is across the street/railroad tracks from the Police/Fire Station Complex.) This crossover is at the library and you will go pass the library and Atlanta Union Mission Thrift Store and take the right onto Cherry Street.

From I-85 South:

Take Hwy 441S (exit 149).  Continue on Hwy 441S to caution light at intersection of Hwy 326 & Hwy 441.  Turn right on Old Carnesville Rd/State Street.  Follow State Street to 4-way stop sign at Cherry Street. (Funeral Home will be on right and Commerce Civic Center will be on left) Turn left onto Cherry Street and go to end of Cherry Street. Church will be on left and drive to the small side parking lot. (Or turn left at Victoria Street and right into the church's parking lot.

From Winder/Jefferson:

Take Hwy 11 to Jefferson to Commerce.  In Commerce take a right at traffic light (do not cross railroad tracks). Continue thru Commerce following the tracks, pass the Police/Fire Dept. Complex and cross the railroad tracks at the next crossover.  (The Methodist Church is directly across from the Police/Fire Dept. Complex.) This crossover is at the library and you will go pass the library and Atlanta Union Mission Thrift Store and take the right onto Cherry Street.

From Danielsville/Ila:

Take Hwy 98W to Commerce, cross over Hwy 441 and continue into Commerce.  You will turn right onto Elm Street and continue into town.  You will pass the library and Atlanta Mission Union Thrift Store.  The Methodist Church and office are next to the Thrift Store but not on Elm Street.  Cherry Street veers to the right off Elm Street.

From Gainesville:

From downtown take Hwy 129 S to I-85N.  Take Hwy 98E (exit 147).  Follow Hwy 98E to Commerce. Pass the Police/Fire Dept. Complex and cross the railroad tracks at the next crossover.  (The Methodist Church is directly across from the Police/Fire Dept. Complex.) This crossover is at the library and you will go pass the library and Atlanta Union Mission Thrift Store and take the right onto Cherry Street.

From Athens:

Take Hwy 441N; pass J&J Flea Market, Louisiana Pacific Plant.  Make a right turn onto Hwy 334 at traffic light (Chevron Station will be on the left).  Follow Hwy 334 to Berea Community Center on right, approximately 7 miles.  Turn in at the gravel driveway and not the paved road (AC Smith Rd).

From I-85:

Take Hwy 441S (exit 149).  Follow Hwy 441S to intersection of Hwy 334 & Hwy 441.  Cross railroad tracks and turn left onto Hwy 334.  Continue on Hwy 334 for approximately 4 miles.  The Community Center is on the left.

From Winder/Jefferson:

Take Hwy 11 to Jefferson to Commerce.  In Commerce take a right at traffic light (do not cross railroad tracks).  Continue thru Commerce following the tracks, past Ingles to traffic light.  Go straight; you are now on Hwy 334.  Continue on Hwy 334 for approximately 4 miles.  The Community Center is on the left.

From Danielsville/Ila:

Take Hwy 98 toward Commerce.  You will make a left turn onto Sandy Creek Road.  Sandy Creek Road is past the golf course and immediately past Seymour’s Garage.  Follow Sandy Creek Road to end.  Turn left and the Community Center will be on the left.

From Gainesville:

From downtown take Hwy 129 S to Gillsville Hwy.  Take Gillsville Hwy to Hwy 52, turn right.  Go thru Gillsville, Maysville and to Commerce.  In Commerce continue thru town, pass Ingles and to traffic light.  Go straight; you are now on Hwy 334.  Continue on Hwy 334 for approximately 4 miles.  The Community Center is on the left.
